Updating the weather…

Baiyun Mountain takes its name from the clouds that often gather around its slopes. Long present in local histories and poetry, it has been a place for generations of residents to climb, rest and look back across Guangzhou.

As Guangzhou expanded, the mountain became a vital green space within the city. Temples, inscriptions and historic stops sit among its natural scenery, preserving the long local tradition of hill walking.

From the higher paths, the relationship between Guangzhou's mountains and urban neighborhoods becomes clear. For many residents, Baiyun Mountain is also an everyday public landscape shared across generations.
