Viewing areas outside the main venues are best planned separately. Satellite-venue arrangements were separate from Haixinsha's timed reservations.

Planning Your Visit
With a reservation, allow time for the walk and security checks around your session. Consider just one area when travelling with children or older family members. Without a reservation, do not head straight to the Haixinsha checkpoint. Confirm all 2026 entrances, station controls and open areas in that edition's official announcements.

Good to Know
Do children need a reservation?
In 2025, children under 1.4 metres could enter without a reservation when accompanied by a parent; those over 1.4 metres needed one. The notice did not clarify children exactly 1.4 metres tall, so confirm borderline cases with the organiser. Rules for 2026 need to be checked again.
How can visitors from Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan or overseas enter?
In 2025, reservations supported eligible travel permits and passports, with a dedicated verification channel. Bring the original document used to book. Check the relevant edition's official booking page for accepted document types.
Can I cancel or transfer a reservation?
In 2025, cancellations had to be completed through the official platform before noon on the visit date. Reservations could not be changed or transferred, and cancelled places were not retained. The 2026 cancellation rules have not been announced.
Can I still see these works after the festival?
The works and sessions listed here belong to the 2025 archive and may no longer be on display. Everyday city lighting is different from the festival programme. Confirm the status of an installation before making a special trip.
