Family Days Out Around Guangzhou and Shenzhen
Choose between farms, theme parks, public gardens and an overnight stay built around children.
Tickets, opening hours and event schedules may change. Check the venue or organiser's latest announcement before visiting.
Farms and picking gardens
The source highlights Green East Farm for outdoor activities, UMIZZ Citrus Planet in Conghua for seasonal fruit picking, and Gumei Ecological Agriculture Park in Dongguan for play areas and a small train. Other examples include mulberries at Baosang Garden, strawberry gardens in Zengcheng and ranch-style outings around Nansha.
Check the harvest season and the difference between entry, activity tickets and fruit taken home. Animal encounters should follow staff rules, and very young children may enjoy a short, simple visit more than a full activity package.
Theme parks
Guangzhou Sunac's Huadu complex offers several separate attractions. Yingde's Chocolate Kingdom and Shunde's Snoopy park are other options in the source. Compare age and height suitability before booking; a colourful park is not necessarily designed for every age group.
The wider selection includes resorts around Foshan, Huizhou and Zhuhai. Choose one main destination for the day and leave time for queues, meals and the return journey.
Public parks
Panyu Children's Park and Shunfengshan Park in Foshan offer a lower-cost outdoor alternative. General access and individual ride charges are different questions, so check both. Bring water, sun protection and a realistic plan for breaks.
Staying overnight
The source discusses Mishu rice-field accommodation, Forest Sea in Zengcheng and Sumlodol camping town in Zhuhai. Compare the actual room, pool access and activities included for your children's ages. An overnight stay is most useful when it reduces travel pressure, not when it adds another programme to an already full day.
