Two Greenway Escapes in Huangpu Knowledge City
Follow the Liusha and Pinggang rivers for quiet walks, grassy banks and a family day outdoors.
Tickets, opening hours and event schedules may change. Check the venue or organiser's latest announcement before visiting.
Liusha River Greenway
At the foot of Dapenwei Hill, a roughly 1.2-kilometre stretch leads upstream from Jushanjian toward a reservoir. Woodland, grassy slopes and waterside planting give the walk a secluded feel.
The source notes only one small shop along the route, so bring enough drinking water and food. Mosquito protection is useful. Keep children close beside the stream and stay out of fast-flowing water. Avoid starting the walk in thunderstorms; seek proper shelter if conditions deteriorate.
For navigation, the source uses the Fenghuang Lake project office near the Y079 and Changgeng North Street junction in Huangpu. Check the public approach rather than entering a work compound.
Pinggang River Greenway
The Pinggang River links Hetangxia and Jingxia villages. Follow the paths for views of bridges, water and the surrounding hills. It suits a gentle walk with pauses rather than a tightly scheduled sightseeing day.
The source's navigation point is Knowledge City Pinggang River Greenway, north of the Junlan Street–Zhiming Road junction. Use designated public lawns for a picnic and confirm any tent rules on arrival. Take all rubbish away and keep children supervised near the banks.
