Canton Tower: Views, Tickets and What to Do at the Top
Choose an observation deck, add a high-altitude ride and plan your visit around the Pearl River skyline.
Tickets, opening hours and event schedules may change. Check the venue or organiser's latest announcement before visiting.
Guangzhou from above
Canton Tower rises 600 metres including its antenna. The slender, twisting structure stands beside the Pearl River opposite the city's modern axis. You can visit for the view alone or choose a package that includes outdoor platforms and rides.
The indoor Baiyun and Starry Sky observation halls are at approximately 428 and 433 metres. Other experiences include the 450-metre outdoor platform and the 488-metre photography deck. These are different products: a basic ticket does not necessarily include every level.
Rides and dining
The Bubble Tram carries passengers in 16 enclosed cabins around a tilted track at about 455 metres. Sky Drop operates on the antenna section between roughly 455 and 485 metres, with seated and standing experiences. The Spider Walk offers another perspective through the tower's structure.
Dining options in the source include a French revolving restaurant, Cantonese dining, a Mediterranean buffet, casual restaurants and a sky bar. Check whether your reservation includes sightseeing access and which level it serves.
Tickets and concessions
The source lists basic adult tickets from $22.35 and concession tickets from $11.18. Its concession schedule includes free basic observation admission for visitors aged 65 and above and specified eligible groups, with advance reservations normally required except for the listed exempt categories. Half-price categories include visitors aged 60 and above, eligible students and minors, birthday visitors and certain carers.
Children aged six or under, or up to 1.2 metres tall, are listed as eligible for free entry, with a maximum of two per adult. Children over 1.2 metres and up to 1.5 metres have a half-price category. Bring original identification or eligibility documents; concession categories cannot be combined. Confirm eligibility and the accepted identity document when booking, particularly if travelling with a passport.
Hours and timed entry
The source gives general opening hours of 09:30–22:30, with ticket sales and entry ending at 22:00. Tickets use timed entry slots. The Bubble Tram and Sky Drop normally start at 10:00, but Monday maintenance delays opening; the final Monday of the month has longer closures. Holidays, weather and special events can change operations.
Allow time for identity checks, security and queues. Follow the entry time printed on your ticket and the venue's restrictions on liquids, flammable items, remote-controlled toys and flying objects. The visitor centre provides services including luggage storage, mobility and stroller assistance, charging and information. Smoking is prohibited.
Getting there
The address is 222 Yuejiang West Road, Haizhu. The source lists Canton Tower station on Line 3 and the APM, and Chigang Pagoda station on Line 12. Use the exit appropriate to your booked entrance. Avoid treating old airport or railway-station driving estimates as a reliable journey time.
