Metro Line 2Enter Yuexiu Park from Yuexiu Park station, then follow the signs for Zhenhai Tower and Guangzhou Museum.

Guangzhou Museum occupies Zhenhai Tower on Yuexiu Hill. Built in the Ming period, the tower was both a defensive landmark and a vantage point over the city. The building is itself a major historical object.

Artifacts, images and documents trace Guangzhou's development, including administration, maritime trade and daily life. The displays connect naturally with the nearby Ming city wall and Sun Yat-sen Monument.

Here, museum and historic site are inseparable. After exploring the tower, continue through Yuexiu Park to the city wall and Five Rams sculpture for a fuller sense of the old city's geography.
